The Isuzu powertrain warranty is an extension of the new vehicle limited warranty that comes with every new Isuzu purchased. The Isuzu powertrain warranty covers repairs needed to the engine, transmission, transaxle, drive systems and their components if the failure is due to a manufacturer defect or workmanship. The Isuzu powertrain warranty begins the day the vehicle is delivered to the first owner (in-service date) or the first day of use.

What is Covered Under the Isuzu Powertrain Warranty?

Under the Isuzu powertrain warranty the following components are covered: Engine Warranties the cylinder heads and block and all internal parts, rocker covers and oil pan, valve train and front cover, timing chain and tensioner, oil pump, water pump and fuel pump, fuel injectors, intake and exhaust manifolds and supercharger, flywheel, seals, and gaskets; Transmission and Transaxle Warranties the case and all internal parts, seals and gaskets, clutch cover and housing,  while the Drivetrain Warranties the drive shafts, final drive housing and all internal parts, propeller shafts, universal joints, bearings, seals and gaskets.

There is a $100 deductible for any repairs made that are covered under the Isuzu powertrain warranty.

The Isuzu powertrain coverage applies to those components listed above, for those components not listed or that which is listed under the What is Not Covered section of the Isuzu warranty booklet.

How Long is the Isuzu Powertrain Warranty?

The Isuzu powertrain warranty extends coverage of the powertrain for 7 years or 75,000 miles, whichever comes first. It begins the day the vehicle is delivered to the first owner of the first day of use.  It is not transferable. It applies to the original owner and immediate family only. 2001 thru 2002 Isuzu models have a powertrain warranty that applies for 10 years or 120,000 miles.

An extended car warranty is available that will provide coverage to the powertrain after the Isuzu new vehicle warranty has expired.
